- It depends on the service. On its own, a roof typically takes 1 to 2 days, siding 3 to 5 days, and windows 3 to 7 days, weather permitting. A full exterior package that combines several of these, plus any structural work, runs the trades back-to-back. You receive a written schedule before work begins, and weather-related adjustments are communicated in advance.
